About our tree health & maintenance service

Established Gauteng trees โ€” heritage jacarandas, mature oaks, plane trees, yellowwoods โ€” are hard to replace. We focus on keeping them alive: identifying stress causes (drought, borer, root compaction, fungal infection) and treating them before removal is the only option.

Common diagnoses on our books: polyphagous shot-hole borer in plane and oak, cypress canker, leaf miners on jacarandas, and root-girdling on landscape trees that were planted too deep.

FAQ

Tree Health & Maintenance โ€” common questions

Can you save a dying tree?

Sometimes. Early intervention works; trees with >60% canopy loss or trunk decay usually can't be saved structurally.

What's deep-root feeding?

Pressure-injected liquid fertiliser and biostimulants to the root zone โ€” past the lawn that competes with the tree.

Is borer treatable?

PSHB has no cure, but we can slow it and keep low-infestation trees productive for years with monitoring.
